Bridge Works

The range of civil construction services offered by NQ Civil Contractors includes bridges both precast and in situ bridge components - piles, pile caps, piers, columns, headstocks and decks.

NQCC holds specialised plant, equipment and skilled professionals, adept at assembly, installation and construction of bridges, of both steel and concrete structure, extending over several spans in length and over various types of terrain.

Our clients include Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), RoadTek, Queensland Rail, Douglas Shire Council, Central Highlands Regional Council, Flinders Shire Council and Department of Innovation Tourism and Industry Development (DITID), Townsville City Council, Mackay City Council and many other regional councils.

Piling Works

With a range of cranes and hydraulic impact hammers, NQCC has the resources and equipment to perform all piling works, whether for driving bridge, pier and foundation piles or sheet piling for coffer dams, shaft excavations and other temporary supports.

NQCC also has augers of various sizes at their disposal for any pre-boring and boring works, as well as testing equipment for High Strain Dynamic Testing (HSDT) of driven piles.

Water, Wastewater and Pump Stations

NQCC have extensive experience in construction of both water and wastewater mains and pump stations, having delivered many pipeline installation projects throughout regional Queensland.

Over the course of these projects NQCC have successfully installed MSCL, DICL, Stainless steel, MSCL, PVC, HDPE pipelines, along with numerous RCP and RCBC for stormwater management.

NQ Civil Contractors also constructs pump stations. Recent projects include the building of a pump station using directional drilling and pipelines in Annandale.

The pump station was constructed to link the Townsville Hospital, James Cook University and Lavarack Military Base in preparation for future expansion.

Quality, Safety and Environmental Management Systems

NQ Civil Contractors operations utilise an integrated management system (IMS) Certified to ISO 9001:2015 - Quality Management, ISO 45001:2018 - Safety Management and ISO 14001:2014 which provides a risk based methodology. The system facilitates successful Project Management on all projects.
